Our first stop of the day was at Guadalupe. On the way into town, we passed under an old Roman aquaduct. We parked at the back side of the Real Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. An imposing building, its stonework was outstanding and the garden by the parking lot was beautiful. As I circumvented the monastery, I came across a shrine which was dated as "1861". On the back side of the building, you could see men working on one of the towers. On Calle Marques de la Romana was the Parador de Guadalupe.
